Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Bentley's custom coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed an exclusive key case to celebrate the brand's centenary. Made of Dark Stained Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it comes with a flying 'B' paperweight, a set of keys as well as a brochure with never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre imagery.

Aesthetics

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne key features a button that opens the trunk and another which starts the car. The key also has a button to turn on the parking brake. The knob can be used to fold or unfold the mirrors if you are parking in a tight area. This feature makes it easier to get in and out of your car.

Each key takes about two days to make. It is cut by hand and shaped, then sewn, sealed and polished to give an extremely high-end finish. It is robust and compact, and will fit the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is akin to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key however, it feels heavier and has a more premium feel.

Secure-A-Key is also included to help stop keyless entry theft. This device is inserted inside the remote-control key fob. It stops it after a couple of minutes of inactivity, preventing thieves from transmitting the frequency of the key to other devices that could unlock and start the vehicle.
