The handles on your doors are worn out over time and need to be replaced. When doing this it is important that the new handles conform to the critical dimensions of the handle that was previously used.

Euro cylinders can be fitted with up to six pins, with internal and external doors generally having different levels of security.

The choice of cylinder is vital. It is based on the amount of use your doors and handles will receive. Most modern cylinders are constructed with bump and anti-drill features built into their design. These are designed to reduce the chance of attack by forcing cylinders to rotate in a different direction. This can to deflect an attack and protect your door.

Some cylinders are designed to resist snapping. This is a common occurrence on cylinders. A specially designed tool is used to break the lock's break line and the front of the cylinder is snapped off. This is much quicker and easier to achieve than opening the door with multipoint locks and leaves no evidence of a break-in which could hinder an insurance claim.

Spring Cassette

The spring cassette is located in the base of your door handle's backplate, providing a spring solution and returning your multipoint lock handles to their normal position after using. There was a time when these types of handle didn't have a spring built into them and without this they tend to droop or drop once the locking mechanism is removed. This simple component is the best solution to fix this problem. It also prevents your door from getting stuck in the closed or open position, as they are difficult to close manually.

These spring cassettes were created to be used with sprung multipoint locks. They will not fit handles that aren't sprung and you'll need to cut a hole in the backplate to allow them to fit. (Please see the image for a detailed diagram). These cassettes are a replacement for damaged or missing cassettes in the backplate of uPVC door handles. They are available as a single unit. They have a square-cut out that can accommodate an 8mm shaft.
