WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases item level by 3. A random additional substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a greater value for trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as important for the latter because of the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to the enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each several weeks.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the item upgrader mod Level Upgrade (Images.Google.Ms) level, however they'll always be cheaper than buying new gear. For example upgrading a Benthic chest piece to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item upgrading from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items which can be used to level up weapons and tools, armor and accessories. They can be bought by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool with a The button will display a preview of an item's next level of upgrade, when there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the item slot and the current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers, for example. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain amount it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

Many locations have upgraders for their items which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount and a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases depending on the amount of items that are being upgraded, and can be increased by having players complete some specific achievements or complete quests.

Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no upgrader for items at the start of Icewind Dale. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are only available through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit and a drawback.

In Season 3, several new features were added to the upgrade system. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a certain level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading further items to that same item upgrades level will cost less even if they are part of a different gear set.

The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade is reduced and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is reduced as well, but is only available once certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

Players have several options when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1, and come in 4 ranks.

First, you should know that crests are only available for equipment with a certain rank. Each rank has a different upgrade item path. The most basic and straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the more complex one can require as much as 20 crests depending on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by completing content of the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons with any difficulty for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons for gear that is used in the endgame. Crests can be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

The new currency system isn't complicated to use, however it will bring some changes to the process of upgrading. When a piece of equipment has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to upgrade their equipment up to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters instead of relying only on seasonal loot.

Another significant modification is that crests have one purpose, so it's important to use them wisely. For instance, it's a good idea to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the top gear you have available and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you plan on making. This is especially applicable to items like trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The account-wide discount will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
