WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases item level by 3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like the eth Titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher Best item upgrader level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to the enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.

The cost of upgrades will depend on the current level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than purchasing new gear from other sources. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items that are used to improve the quality of weapons, tools, armor, and other accessories. They can be purchased by players from NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for different currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any tool, weapon or armor. button, which will show a preview of the item at the next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the item slot, and the current item level. For instance, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain level and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currency types.

Item upgraders can be found at many locations including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and the chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. Another significant change is that crests only have one purpose, so it's important to make use of them in a responsible manner. It is recommended to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear that you can find and save Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly true for items such as trinkets and rings that fill several slots. The discount on the account will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
