Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Mulliner Bentley's custom coachbuilding unit, has created a unique keycase to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the brand. It's made of Dark stained Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes an eagle-like "B" paperweight keys, as well as an original 1930s booklet that features never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.

Design

Bentley has introduced a special specification for cars made after the year 2019 in order to celebrate its centennial. This is called the Centenary Specification. Function

The Bentley Mulsanne key comes with buttons that open the trunk, and another button that starts the car. It also has a button to activate the parking break. The knob can be used to fold or unfold the mirrors if you are parking in a tight spot. This feature helps you get into and out of your car.

Each key takes two days to make. The key is cut by hand, shaped by hand, stitched after which it is sealed and polished to produce a premium result. It is robust and compact, and will fit the Bentley key perfectly. Its style is similar to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key, but it feels much heavier and has a more premium feel.

It is also equipped with Secure-A-Key that helps to prevent theft of keys that are keyless. This device is put into the remote-control fob and is disabled when the key has not been used for a few minutes. It stops thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that can be used to open and start the vehicle.

Bentley's distinctive design reflects the company's values of excellence in craftsmanship engineering expertise, as well as cutting-edge technology. Personalisation

Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to essentially design their own car. Each time a selection is made, the pattern that emerges will reveal the model colors, style and color preferences for the personalized Bentley.

The configuration that is created is loaded onto individual R.F.I.D.-enabled key cards that are then presented to guests in a hand-crafted key case. The keys can be fitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised welcome lamps that illuminate the way of the opening door with the owner's name or logo as they approach the vehicle.

Bentley estimates that it takes 500 man-hours on average to construct and build the Mulsanne. The main reason for this lengthy effort is a reluctance to embrace the latest technology. The Crewe factory workers do not use a machine to space perfectly-matched leather seats. Instead they do it by hand. Drivers have to park their cars manually, instead of using the built-in sensors to direct them to parallel and perpendicular spots.

Bentley showcased its Mulliner personalization abilities with the release of a special Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays homage to founder William Osler Bentley. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays tribute to the founding father of the brand, William Osler Bentley key fob programming. The 100 limited edition cars include keys that display a piece of the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
