This robot vacuum is not afraid to tackle the stairs, unlike some other models. But, just like any other mop or vacuum it could get blocked by debris, such as loose tennis shoes ribbons, beads or yarn, play jewelry or other stray objects.

When it's time to mop, just swap in the Mopping Bin and a compatible cleaning solution.

iRobot Combo i3

The iRobot Combo i3 has been updated from the original Roomba i3. It comes with the same dirt compartment on the outside and it also has a HEPA filter to trap allergens however, it now supports smart mapping. You can now designate no-go zones to stop the vacuum from cleaning these areas again. The i3 Plus has a lot of other fantastic features, including its advanced cleaning system and a power-lifting 10x vacuum. It also has a three-stage cleaning process. It comes with a textured finish to keep dust, pet hair and fingerprints off.

It cleans most debris and is a great choice for bare flooring, but had issues with pet hair on low-pile carpets. It does an excellent job with high pile carpets though and is much quieter than its rivals. The i3 is a bit more expensive than the Roborock S4 Max but it comes with a self-emptying station that empties the dirtbag, replenishes its water reservoir and cleans its mop pads.
