The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you are looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is priced in the middle. It's got a fantastic mopping capability, but it lacks some of the features that are found in its more expensive counterpart.

In the course of testing, it was able to handle dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard flooring. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to help you map your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, including the dirt compartment integrated into the base of charging. The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the touch of the button. You can opt for an overall clean that emphasizes cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice or two detailed maps of your space to ensure that your home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It sucks up large items and does not lose suction as fast as some others do, and it can even remove pet hair without difficulty. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot claims it will get better with the next models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it to be able to hug the furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with superior filtration which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price cost.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, like stairs and other barriers and also to clean your whole home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, and set up virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those on higher-end models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only drawback is the lack of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. But that's not a major issue for those who want to own one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank of the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors and filling it takes just two or three cycles, even when you've got the most dirt.

For the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest, which are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, produce little noise, allowing you to work or watch television without interruption. If it comes across a wall or furniture piece, it gently bumps into it before moving on.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app is adept at alerting you when something needs attention, like the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also design and merge actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature for those who have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or there's clutter that needs to be removed frequently, like toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, picking up dirt from carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop vacuum robot combo and more. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also has a sensor system that recognizes obstacles better and prevents it from falling onto furniture and other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best Robot Vacuum Under 200 known for Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet tall and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it charges faster and can handle a full cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris and is easier to empty when needed.

Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and a voice assistant that works offline, so you can manage it even when not home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.

The X2 Omni is the top robot for mopping. Its mop pads that rotate clean tough stains and its motor creates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also top-notch, best robot vacuum under 200 and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a large battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as the ones we've seen on an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a top-quality model that comes with a variety of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, identify different types of flooring and is among the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. Although these features are nice to have however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category which could make it a little more expensive than the average homeowner need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's tall and slim, with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with an impressive bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front panel, which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which serves as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and transmit it to its base station. The central control panel includes a circular menu that lets you select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open up the settings menu in which you can alter the way that the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This allows the robot to clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for families with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our hard-floor test and taking out all but the most stubborn juice stain. Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as efficient in dealing with sand on the hard floor and the quaker oats that are on carpet.
