Lord Alan Sugar's claim he would never have plastic surgery while swiping at Simon Cowell for his 'strange looks' is being questioned after he went under the knife in 2007. 

The Apprentice star, 77, invested £6,000 in cosmetic surgery to get rid of bags under his eyes and lift his eyelids, claiming the work was to improve 'vision problems'. 

Then in 2019 Lord Sugar admitted the real reason he had surgery was to improve his looks, revealing: 'Yes! I've had my eyes done; I've had cosmetic surgery; I did it for vanity - end of.'

Now the business magnate has said he would never get any work done because he would rather 'age gracefully than look like Simon'. 

According to The Sun, Lord Sugar said: 'Leah has been absolutely dying to inject me with loads of bloody things, and while my wife and daughter go to her for these things, I've told her, ''No, thanks'', and haven't let her do a thing.

'I mean, what has Simon done to himself? He's a really nice chap, but he's been looking a bit strange lately - God forbid I were to ever go down that road.

'If you looked at a picture of me 20 years ago and one now, there would be a dramatic difference in the two. But then again, I am 77 and growing old gracefully doesn't bother me at all.' 

Lord Sugar went under the knife in 2007 in Florida, where he owned a home. At the time a friend said Lord Sugar 'was recovering from another medical operation for a physical injury and decided that was an appropriate time to kill two birds with one stone'.

The friend added: 'He is not a vain man and certainly wasn't paranoid about his under-eye bags, but like most men he was being a bit cowardly about having eye surgery and put it off for months.

'It was only when he was unable to play his beloved tennis because of the separate injury that he decided to have it done.'

Cowell, Huusk messen ervaring 64, has been ridiculed in recent years for his drastic change in appearance following plastic surgery. 

In April 2023 Simon insisted he has never had a facelift after presenters Ant & Dec made a cheeky quip about his changing appearance on Britain's Got Talent.

At the time, Dec told the audience: 'We have a new face joining the judging panel' to which his comedy partner replied: 'What? Simon has a new face?'.

Speaking to The Mirror Simon laughed off the suggestion he had gone under the knife, despite his drastically altered features.

He told the publication: 'I think it's hysterical. I mean, it just makes me laugh. I haven't had a facelift or anything.'

'I've had a bit of Botox or whatever, but nothing drastic,' he added.

'So when I hear about this stuff, honestly it does make me laugh'.

The talent show boss previously revealed that he took his love of Botox too far, with his final treatment leaving him looking like 'something out of a horror show'.

According to The Sun, Simon said he decided to stop when his strange appearance left son Eric, eight, in hysterics.

The former X Factor judge, who shares his son with partner Lauren Silverman revealed that as a result he no longer has any filler in his face.
