The dust bin should last about 30 loads, or about two months and you'll need to replace the filter every once every few months (which is actually recommended by iRobot). The iRobot S9+ is not very loud when it's in use making it a great choice for families with children or pets.

This robot isn't as feature-rich as some of the more expensive models we evaluated but it does come with the basics. It has a large enough dust bin that can hold a lot of dirt before it's empty and its mop and vacuum system works great on both carpets that are hard and low-pile. It's also extremely quiet. We could watch the TV while it was cleaning without feeling like we were overwhelmed by noise.

Our test subjects were extremely impressed by how simple the machine was to operate and set up. They also appreciated the ability to clean all the messes from their flooring. It also did a good job at removing pet hair and other messes that get on carpeting, though it was less successful in removing stubborn staining. The app was easy to use and easy to understand. They could program the vacuum to clean frequently to reduce the amount of manual work. It doesn't feature the ability to avoid objects or map technology, so it isn't able to be used to send specific rooms or follow virtual boundaries (though magnetic boundaries are compatible).

The V3S Pro is another model in iRobot’s affordable line. It has some impressive features at an affordable price. The V3S Pro did not make it into our top choice lists of trusted sources who test hands-on, but it received high marks from Modern Castle, Robot Vacuum Brands Smart Robot Reviews and The Ambient.
