The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that's priced in the middle. It's a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking certain of the more advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

During tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features, including an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules for a truly hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the touch of a button. You can choose the general clean option, which prioritizes the removal of larger debris such as rice and cereal. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that your home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do, and it can even pick up pet hair with ease. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot promises it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It's a nice improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ has a superior filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. It's a nice claim, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price cost.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the industrial robot vacuum and set cleaning times, and set up virtual boundary markers, so it can recognize areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on higher-end models. And its mopping system is better because its spinning pads scrub your floors much more effectively than a vibrating pad.

It's only downside is the lack of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. But that's not a major issue for those who want to own one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is larger than many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the maximum dirt level.

For the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the more powerful ones, create very little noise, which allows you to work or watch TV without interruption. If it comes into contact with an object, such as a wall or furniture piece it gently bumps into it before moving forward.

What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically moves physical trash into the bin hidden in the background and also washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is adept at nagging you only when something requires attention, for example, the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session being cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also design and merge rooms to modify how the Q Revo treats your abode. This feature is helpful when you have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. It comes with an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. But while these functions are great however, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the luxury category which could make it somewhat more expensive than what some homeowners need.
