The
best Mapping robot vacuum
Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent option for those looking for an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It's a great mopping performance but lacks certain of the more advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.
In tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. It does not use LIDAR however, as cheaper models do, to locate your home.
1. iRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and incredible cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is built into the base of charging. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and recommend automatic schedules to give you an effortless cleaning experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is set up it can begin automatic cleaning with a single button press. You can choose an overall clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger debris such as cereal and rice. Or you can opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that the entire home is thoroughly cleaned.
This robot vacuum performs well both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and clean large items up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot claims it will improve in the future with new models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used, but we found it only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims that the S9+ has a superior filtering system that stops tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think it's a nice claim however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.
Its smart navigation system employs sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on higher-end models. Its mopping system is even better - its spinning pads clean your floors more effectively than an ordinary pad that vibrates.
It's only downside is the absence of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. However, it's not a problem if you want to own one of the
best robot vacuum for the money
robots available. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors and filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you've got a lot of dirt.
For the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to scrub hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, create little noise, allowing you to work or even watch television without interruption. It will gently hit furniture or walls, and then move on if it comes across one.
What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the hidden bin, as well as washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is adept at notifying you when something is in need of attention, like

water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.
You can also design and merge rooms to modify how the Q Revo will treat your home. This is a great feature for those who have multiple areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's clutter that must be cleaned out frequently, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, removing debris from both carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it to.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. It has a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also comes with a sensor that recognizes obstacles better and prevents it from falling on furniture and other objects.
The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (
best smart mopping robot
known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet high and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it has faster battery charging and can handle a complete cleaning of around 1,500 square feet in one charge. And it has a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.
Additionally it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as a voice assistant that works offline, allowing you to control it even when you're not home. It also has a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a set path.
The X2 Omni is the most effective robot for mopping. Its mop pads rotating remove tough stains and its motor creates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent too and it enhances suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does a thorough job. It is equipped with a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that comes with a variety of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It can make detailed floor maps and identify different types of flooring. It's also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are great but they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category which could make it a little more expensive than some homeowners require.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper that helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage while moving through the house. In the pane in the front is an additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which acts as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu located in the middle of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This creates a precise floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop with ease, without getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for families with children or pets.
The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors, and taking out all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops also do a great job and remove 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from our hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
