What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader adds a new widget at the top of the Angel and Cash Upgrade windows. This Manager costs 33 billion Angel Investors, and has no benefit in terms of gameplay other than making it easier to purchase upgrades.

Boosters

With an item upgrader you can enjoy many bonuses. These can include a variety of stats, as well as a number of extra bonuses. These bonuses can be utilized on armor, weapons and trinkets. They can be used to improve a character's abilities or to give a new dimension of variety to their appearance.

The amount of extras you can get by upgrading is contingent on the number of upgrades performed. Each upgrade will boost the extras by three points maximum. Each upgrade will also boost the main stats by +1.

Some upgrades also provide a secondary random boost in addition to stat boosts. These boosts can be extremely valuable and must be considered when deciding on which items to upgrade. Some of these boosts can only be used in specific builds (such the Whistan's Shield, which is for FB Sorcs) While others are useful to collectors.

Certain items come with inherent boo, which is not useful when upgraded, like the Goldwrap which gives extra potion slots. These are often upp'd to inject more value into a perfect or near-perfect item.

Costs

Upgrades come with certain costs associated with them. The first is the cost to perform the upgrade. It can be costly and is contingent on the new ilvl of the item and the number of perks it receives. It can also be costly to upgrade an item to a higher level (such as Explorer > Champion, or Veteran > Heroic).

The second is the cost of the materials needed to upgrade. The items used are usually either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21+) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable by completing specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). These materials can be found in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.

Upgrading an item is complicated and takes time. It can take 8 hours, depending on the magnitude of the upgrade. The upgraded Best item upgrade's base stats are calculated by using the new ilvl of the item, perks, and other properties. This calculation determines the updated Armor Class bonus, damage dice, and other important stats. In some cases, the upgrade will grant additional benefits that can be chosen from a list of perks.

Rarely, the new perks obtained will cost more than one perk slot; in these situations, the upgrade will only replace the most expensive perks. The upgrader could also make other adjustments to the item, such as changing the type of damage it deals to its weapon or eliminating an operational or unwieldy function. These modifications are based on the item's ilvl. They may also require special materials, for instance the adamantine.

Success Rate

Item upgrades are based on the chance of success, and as with any random system, there is the possibility that the upgrade will fail. An Upgrade Pity is a product that you can purchase from the smithing NPC in Lost Ark. It increases the chance of an upgrade item being successful by a certain percentage. This is similar to the luck bonus that some items have however it is more solid. It can be added to any weapon or armor and can be used up to three times.

It is also possible to add a variety of additional elements to the upgrade, which increases the chance of success. They are displayed in a window that is above the + button. There are some limitations. The maximum amount of material you can upload is shown directly above the + button.

Another way to increase the chances of an upgrade succeeding is by using an item known as Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item is useful if your weapon or piece is close to or has reached the top level of its tier.
