What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The number of upgrades you make will determine the amount of extras you get. Each upgrade will increase the number of extras by up to 3 points. Each upgrade will also increase the main stats by +1.

In addition to the stat increases, some upgrades will also give a random secondary boost. These boosts can be important and should be considered when deciding which items to upgrade. Certain of these boosts may only be used in certain designs (such the Whistan's Shield, which is for FB Sorcs) Some are beneficial to collectors.

Certain items come with inherent boo, which is not useful when upgraded, such as the Goldwrap that gives you more slots for potion. They are usually upgraded to inject more value into a perfect or near-perfect item.

Costs

There are a few expenses that are associated with upgrades to items. The first cost is the upgrade itself. It can be costly and depends on the new value of the item and the number of perks it receives. It can also be expensive to upgrade an item to a higher level (such as Explorer > Champion or Veteran > Heroic).

The second is the price of the items required to upgrade. These items are usually Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons, or specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords Of Draenor Quests. The amount of these items needed can be found in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.

It takes time to upgrade an item. It can take up to 8 hours, depending on the magnitude of the upgrade. The base stats of an upgraded item are calculated based upon its new ilvl and other properties. This calculation determines the updated Armor Class bonus, damage dice, and other important statistics. In some instances the upgrade can grant additional benefits that can be chosen from a variety of perks.

In rare instances the upgrade will replace only the most expensive benefits. Sometimes, the upgrader may make other changes to an item, for example, changing the type of weapon damage or adding or removing an unwieldy or operational property. These modifications are based on the item's ilvl and may require special materials, for instance the adamantine.

Success Rate

The process of upgrading an item is based on chance. Like any random system, there is a possibility that it won't succeed. There are a few ways to increase your chances of success. This includes using an Upgrade Pity, or the addition of extra materials to your upgrade.

The upgrade item Pity can be purchased from the NPC for smithing in Lost Ark. It increases the chances of an upgrade being successful by some percentage. It is similar to the "luck bonus" that some items provide however it is more secure. It can be added to any weapon or armor, and can be used up to three times.

You can also add additional materials to the upgrade to increase the chance of success. These are shown in a window above the + button. However, there are limitations to this, and the largest amount of material that can be added is displayed directly above the + button in the UI.

Another way to increase the chances of an upgrade succeeding is by using an item known as Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item is helpful if you have a weapon or piece of equipment that is at the highest level for its tier or is close to it. This item will allow you upgrade the equipment to the next tier without the risk of breaking.

If an upgrade is unsuccessful, the system will be returned to its original condition. This is typically a downgrade, but can also be an upgrade. You should save an upgrade until you are nearing the maximum level of an item.

Kafra offers a variety of items that can be used in order to increase the chance of a successful upgrade. You can increase your chances of success by upgrading your equipment multiple times with HD Oridecon and HD Elunium. The rate of success will be increased if you increase your chances of receiving a Double Mint by Shoe-Minting five times.

Failure Rate
