Driving License Category A2
The category A2 driving license permits you to drive motorcycles without a sidecar with a maximum engine power of 35 kW. The power/weight ratio of the motorbike must not exceed 0.2kW/kg.
The step-by-step process of constructing this driving license permits you to make your small motorcycle driving licence earlier and gradually progress to higher engine power with the A2 licence.
Motorcycles and scooters
The second stage of motorcycle license is the driving license category A2. This permits you to operate mopeds and small motorcycles of up to 50cc. The goal of the class is to let you slowly ascend the ladder of power and to savor the possibility of an even bigger one. The test is more difficult and requires more theory.
The category A2 driver's license is valid until the age of 24. It is valid together with the category A1 car driving licence or as part a provisional driver's license. If you are older than 24 years old, however, you need a full category A driving licence to operate a motorcycle that have more than 35 kW.
You can get a group

driving license at the age of 16 (in Denmark and

Malta, 15 and in Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia, 14). When you reach the age of 16 you'll need to pass the A2 category motorbike test. You must pass this test before the age of 18. After two years, you are able to move to category A.
After passing the test in category A2, you will be permitted to ride a motorcycle, either with or without a sidecar, as well as vehicles with up to 35 kW of power. These vehicles must have a weight/power of not more than 0.02 kW/kg. They cannot be derived directly from a vehicle that has twice the maximum power.
If you have completed the two-part test for a moped or motorcycle of a lower class as of July 1, 1996, you may bypass the theory test and take only the practical test. You can either take a small scooter or moped with L plates, or obtain the new AM licence which permits you to ride bikes with a capacity of up to 50cc with a top-speed of 45mph. The AM licence is valid if you've passed the theory test, and completed nine hours of driving training at a driving academy.
Motor vehicles with 4 wheels
This category covers all motor vehicles with four wheels that are not buses or passenger cars. It also covers utilitarian vehicles such as vans, pickups,

and panels. Motorhomes, campers and lorries are also covered. This category can also include vehicles such as ambulances, hearses and carryalls that are designed to accommodate more than eight persons or have a maximum authorised mass of 750 kg.

drivers can drive such vehicles with a trailer weighting up to 750kg.
You must have passed the theory exam to be able to drive a car in this category. To pass you must attend 12 lessons for 90 minutes of the base material, and 4 additional lessons of 90 minutes for the additional (category A2). The theory tests require a minimum score of 70 percent.
If you pass the theory test, you'll have to pass a practical driving test on private property and on public roads. After passing both tests, you will be issued an application for your driving license. You must present this request to the local authority within three years of passing your practical test.
After you pass your driving test, it's possible to start driving vehicles that fall under the category A2. In some countries, if you hold a full A1 license for two years, there is no requirement to take a separate test to obtain an A2 driving license that permits you to operate motorcycles up 35 kW. This is a way to get experience driving less powerful two-wheelers prior to moving up to more powerful machines.
If you have an A2 category driving licence, you can also drive tricycles if it has the capacity of cylinders up to 125cc and a power output of no more than 11 kW. This category was previously part of the A license. All drivers who were issued the full category B license before the 19th of January, 2013 were able to use mopeds too and continue to enjoy this privilege.
Motor vehicles with five or more wheels
This category includes power-driven vehicles that are designed for use on a road and for transport of goods or people. These vehicles must include at least 2 or 3 wheels in contact with ground as well as a driver's chair or saddle and a motor able to reach speeds of 20 miles per hour or more. These vehicles come with brakes as well as a steering wheel. They can also be steered, and travelled in reverse. In some cases, the hood of these vehicles can be opened. This classification was previously used for trucks (vans minivans, minivans, panel, pickups as well as sport utility vehicles) and buses that hold at least 16 passengers. A slightly different definition is used by the federal government, which governs uniform licensing standards for drivers of commercial vehicles. This definition excludes vehicles with a weight of 26,001 pounds gross weight or more.
The category A2 driving licence can be used to drive a motorized cycle, moped or motorcycle. This type of license is only valid for motors that have an cylinder capacity of 125 cubic centimeters, or a maximum power of 15 Kilowatts. This license is also valid for driving motor tricycles. This license class requires a minimum age of 16 years. Physically disabled persons may also be granted the privilege of driving category A1 or motor tricycles.
Some people choose to get an operator's license. This is applicable to vehicles with up to 8 passenger seats and a maximum weight of 3,500kg. Drivers with an operator license are also permitted to tow trailers which weigh up to 750kg MAM. They can also drive a tractor or construction equipment with a trailer up to 3,500kg MAM.
NHTSA must keep its guidelines up-to-date as the designs of various types of two-wheeled and three-wheeled vehicle continue to change. Manufacturers importers, manufacturers and import specialists frequently seek agency interpretations of the proper classification of their vehicles. NHTSA has developed a set of guidelines to guide the classification. These guidelines include:
Motor vehicles with trailers
The A2 category includes motorized vehicles with trailers. These are not pulled by drivers, but are towed by larger vehicles like cars. For example an tractor pulling trailers falls under this category,

as well as small trucks designed for carrying loads, such as those employed by plumbers and painters to transport tools and other supplies to the work site. The maximum authorised mass (MAM) for this class is 8,250kg.
You must pass the category A1 theory test or possess an entry-level driving license to drive vehicles in this class. You may also need to pass a driving test depending on the kind of vehicle you intend to drive.
The license you are issued for category A2 is valid for three years starting from the date you take your theory test. To keep it valid, you must renew prior to the expiration date.
In addition to the categories above, you can be granted a driving license for other vehicles that meet certain requirements. You need a special license to drive a large vehicle (category C) and you have to know the special regulations for the transportation of hazardous products.
A car driving licence in category B allows you to drive a vehicle and a trailer that don't fit the conditions of category C. This is where the code 96 comes in. Code 96 is added to your category B drivers licences after you have passed the theory test and practical test, however, your trailer and vehicle do not qualify for a category C licence under the normal rules.
To operate a vehicle in this category, you must have held a driving license in category B for at least two years and pass a theory test and practical test for this category. You also need to have completed an exclusive course and received additional training in order to be able to drive this. This course is known as a driver's training course.
