The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good choice if you're looking for a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It offers a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able to handle dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It does not use LIDAR, however, as other models do, to identify your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is built into the charging base. It's not the best cheap Robot vacuum time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot claims it will get better with the next models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard however we found it only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ has a superior filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. We think it's a nice claim, but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system uses a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine vacuuming and mopping the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those of more expensive models, and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only downside is that it lacks an additional rubber brush to allow for deeper cleaning, but that's a small cost to pay if are looking for one of the top robots available. The dust tank of the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors. Filling it up only takes two or three cycles, even when you've got the most dirt.

For the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. It will gently hit furniture or walls and move on if it comes across one.

What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and can automatically transfer trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans and dries the clean water tank. The app is good at notifying you when something needs attention, like the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create and merge rooms to modify the way that Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is beneficial if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently remove clutter, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It is able to vacuum up wet dry robot vacuum spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, as well as an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties the mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also has a sensor that can detect obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.

While these features are useful but they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury which could make it somewhat more expensive than some homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's tall and slim and has a white-colored finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front panel, which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
