The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that's mid-range. It's a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking certain of the more advanced features that are found in its more expensive counterpart.

In the course of testing, it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard floors. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to map out your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and plenty of features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and recommend automatic schedules to give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automatic cleaning functions at the click of the button. You can opt for an overall clean that emphasizes cleaning up larger debris like rice and cereal or go for two thorough maps of your area to ensure that your home is properly arranged.

This robot vac performs well on both bare floors and carpets with low pile. It can pick up pet hair and clean big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot claims it will improve with future models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes that this will allow it hug walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with an advanced filtration system which blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating in your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price tag.

Its smart navigation system employs sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers to ensure that the robot is aware of the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as efficient as those found on more expensive models and its mopping feature is superior, as its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only drawback is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to allow for deeper cleaning, but that's an affordable price to pay if you are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank is also bigger than those on many of its rivals and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even with the maximum dirt level.

For the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to scrub off tough dirt from my floors. The two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch television without being distracted. It will gently hit a wall or furniture and move on when it encounters one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically moves physical trash to the bin hidden from view and also cleans and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only notify you if something is wrong for example, the water tank being empty or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to the bin being full.

You can also create and merge rooms to modify how the Q Revo treats your abode. That's a handy feature for those who have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there's items that need to be removed regularly, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my tests cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors with the first attempt. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that has all the features you could wish for. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, automatic giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture or other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It has a height of more than two feet height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.

Finally, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and voice assistant that operates offline, which means you can manage it even when not home. It also comes with more mopping modes and an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean certain rooms or areas of your house instead of just following a specific path.

The X2 Omni is the top robot at mopping. Its mop pads that rotate remove tough stains and its motor generates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as any we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a top-quality model that comes with a variety of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, detect different types of flooring and is among the few to automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are great but they also place the L10s in the class of luxury. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

Created to look like a modern floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish that's accented by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine features a large bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which acts as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu in the middle of the control panel lets users to select cleaning options or schedules, as well as preferences. The mops also work well in removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
