The Best
Robot Vacuum For Carpet
No matter if you have a carpet that is high or low-pile there's a robotic vacuum for you. These machines are intelligent and can automatically navigate through your home, pick up debris and even clean under furniture.
A lot of them come with advanced features, like mapping, which can help you navigate around your home and keep track of furniture placement. They can also boost suction power to clear dirtier areas.
iRobot Roomba 694
The iRobot Roomba is a budget-friendly robot vacuum that is effective on both plain flooring and carpets with low pile. It has a good suction however, it struggles with larger debris like sand or grains of rice. It does a good job cleaning pet hair, but it isn't as strong against tangling as premium Roomba models such as the I6 and j7.
The Roomba is easy to operate. It features three buttons on the top cover. 'Clean,' which launches a cleaning session, 'Dock,' which puts it in its charging station and the 'Spot' button, which triggers an individualized cleaning. It can be controlled with an app on your smartphone which lets you schedule or stop/start cycles, and also adjust settings. You can also pair the device with smart home devices such as Alexa or Google Assistant to control it via voice commands.
This vacuum cleaner is slower than others, but it is able to get into the most crevices and corners. It has a big bin which makes it much easier to empty. It is compatible with digital maps and virtual barriers which let you make it impossible to clean certain areas or stop cleaning altogether in order to prevent it from getting stuck on something.
While it's not the best model in its price range, it's better than many other alternatives. The Roborock E4 is more advanced than the Roomba 694 with better cleaning efficiency on both bare and low-pile carpets. It also has an efficient cleaning route and has a longer battery life. It also feels better-made, has fewer parts that need regular maintenance, is less expensive to own over the course of its life and charges faster than the 694.
It is also worth considering other models in the iRobot range, such as the v7 or the 981. The v7 and 981 are more expensive, but they have significant improvements in cleaning performance, both on low and bare pile floors. They also have a bigger dirt compartment they charge faster, can move more easily and are more a breeze to pair with smart home devices.
Shark RV1001AE IQ
This self-emptying robotic vacuum cleaner does a great job on carpets with low piles and hard flooring. The combination brush is able to reach corners and edges and then automatically increases suction as soon as it senses carpet. It also does a great job of cleaning dirt on carpet in the middle. The IQ's compact footprint for docks and the self-emptying feature are nice touches. If you'd like to change the floor's levels or define no-go areas, you'll need to manually reset the map.
The IQ app comes with advanced mapping and automated features, however it does not have no-go zones. These are only available on iRobot robots. The smart-pathing technology permits for better maneuverability and the high-pile feature of its carpet cleaning mode is effective, although it can get caught on the tassels of the rug.
In our tests during our tests, the IQ was adept at handling pet hair well, clearing an impressive amount of debris from floors with no flooring and fair amounts of medium-pile carpet. It was less effective on shag carpet, where it struggled to reach dirt and dust embedded in the fibers. It was capable of maneuvering the legs of chairs and tight spaces as well as the base of a wooden IKEA step stool. It was a bit slower on floors that were not paved however, it was able to recover speed and was more efficient than the other robots we tested.
The IQ is a better choice for the majority of users than the iRobot Roomba. It has a bigger dustbin and a longer battery lifespan and is more adept at navigating obstacles. It has mopping tools that can clean up sticky debris. On the other side the iRobot is built better and has fewer parts that require replacement or maintenance and incurs lower costs for recurring maintenance and creates virtual no-go zones through its companion app. It can continue cleaning where it left off, even if the battery is out before it has finished. The iRobot can also be controlled via voice commands, which is an enormous benefit for many users.
Eufy 11S
The RoboVac 11S eufy robot vacuum isn't one of the most feature-rich models, but it does offer excellent cleaning power for affordable prices. It's a budget-friendly option for buyers who don't require a complex mapping system or app to control the device. This robot will last for more than an hour. It includes a remote control, cleaning tool, and AC power adapter.
The 11S is slim and sleek with an upper deck of tempered glass that covers plastic and is made to look like brushed aluminum. It's a nice departure from the industrial and utilitarian designs of Roomba, Samsung and Neato.
In our tests, the eufy 11S was excellent at picking up larger debris and fine dust on hard flooring. It was unable to thoroughly clean medium and

high-pile carpets. The device is capable to bump into furniture and people along its path. However, it can detect obstacles using sensors. If it encounters them it halts and emits an alarm so that you can manually steer it through the obstacle before getting it back to work.
The BoostIQ mode is another great feature of the Eufy11S. It allows you to configure the robot to automatically adjust the suction force based on the floor type and the level of dirt. It's also easy to use the remote to direct the 11S in the direction you want it to move.
If you don't have many furniture in the space where you'd like to vacuum, Single Room Mode is an excellent alternative. The eufy will spend 30 minutes focusing on cleaning the space it is assigned to.
You can also choose Edge Cleaning that limits the time spent in each area to 20 minutes to ensure optimal battery life. This feature allows the eufy to move in a spiraling pattern by cleaning edges and corners.
Miele Complete C1
The Miele Complete C1 is an excellent mid-range canister robot vacuum that can be a great performer on carpet. Its performance on floors that are not bare is also outstanding. It can pick up rice and other fine particles with ease. The suction power doesn't decrease when the dirt bin is full. Its design that is allergy-friendly and sealed with air traps allergens and keeps your family healthy. It uses an onboard HEPA filter and a self-emptying bin, so you don't have to buy additional filters or a separate vacuum bag.
It's not as powerful as pricier models, but it's still great for tackling dirt and deep cleaning. Two front cameras provide live feeds of images on your smartphone,

and it comes with one of the best obstacle avoidance systems we've seen. It also has a big dustbin, a long running time and a quick, bump-free clean-up.
In contrast to other robots, unlike other robots, the Complete C1 can switch between two powerheads, a standard one and a turbo head for different flooring types. The turbo head is

with high-pile or low-pile carpeting, while the standard powerhead is ideal for bare floors and light rugs. It also comes with an automatic height adjustment system that enables it to adjust to different types flooring without manual adjustments.
This model is bundled with the SBD 285-3 Classic Combination Floorhead, which can be used on hard floors and carpets of medium pile. The powerhead can also be easily maneuvered and get into difficult areas. It comes with five different adjustments to the surface and an off-brush switch to avoid hairs from getting tangled.
The Classic C1 has a self cleaning brush roll, the UtraClean Mode that can clean the same area three times, and a self-emptying dustbin that you can empty with a single button press. The sound level of this model is more pronounced than other models. However, its powerful motor with 1,200 watts of power and robust construction justify the extra cost.
If you're willing to pay a little more then the Miele Complete C3 canister
robot vacuum brands
vacuum is an excellent all-around robot vacuum. It is more effective on carpets than the Classic C1. It performs better on any type of flooring and is built more securely and comes with a HEPA filter.
