If it detects that a particular area needs special attention the app will then return to it on an recurring schedule. If the area is extremely dirty, the s9 returns to it with a more powerful suction until all the dirt is gone.

It's a simple, all-black look and feel. It is incredibly easy to put together out of the box, and requires only a couple of snaps to join the side brushes that come with it and the charging dock. The dirt compartment is a bit small, though, so it is likely to have to empty it quite often.

IQ Robot XL performed well in tests and was responsive to the app's commands. The app allows you to choose power modes, change settings, and track the current level of battery in the robot. The app also has an Find Robot button that helps you locate the device in case it is lost.

Like other Shark products, the IQ Robot XL has impressive suction that can easily tackle pet hair and dust. The self-cleaning brushroll prevents hair from clinging to the machine as it combs out debris. Its navigation module uses sensors to scan the surroundings while it moves. However, the process isn't as extensive as robots using LIDAR modules. The IQ Robot XL must run a few clean cycles to identify your space.

In comparison to the iRobot Roomba 690, the Shark IQ Robot XL is easier to maintain, incurs lower costs for recurring maintenance and provides better performance across different surfaces. The iRobot is more robust, has a faster charge, and offers similar battery performance. It also comes with a suite of advanced automation capabilities, which allow you to customize the coverage map for your home and include no-go areas.

4. Eufy 11S

The Eufy 11S is a great option for those looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can be cleaned on their schedule but do not require a smartphone or voice control. The Eufy 11S is more expensive than the iRobot Roomba 614, but it's also more expensive than the Ecovacs Deebot N79S. However, the iRobot is more durable, has a longer maximum battery life, and soaks up more dirt and dust than the Eufy. It's also easier to maintain, has fewer expenses that are recurring, and has more automation capabilities. The companion app is superior and provides more details about the status of the vacuum and its battery level.

5. Ecovacs Deebot Pro+

It might look similar to almost every other robot vacuum available but this one has some clever tricks up its sleeve.
