Narwal Robot Vacuum and Mop

Narwal is a relative newcomer to the robotic vacuum market. It's a sweeper/mopping hybrid that's quite impressive. But it's also expensive and hobbled by a clunky app with a steep learning curve.

Drop a sheet of detergent into the tank for clean water at the base station to mop. Then, the pads are sprayed using clean water, and scrubs floors using 10N of pressure.

Features

The Narwal T10 robot vacuum can clean, scrub and sweep hard floors. Its innovative mapping and navigation system is based on simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) technology. It also has anti-collision, anti-cliff-sensing and cliff-sen technologies that prevent the machine from falling down a staircase or accidentally hitting furniture. In addition, it can detect and avoid rugs which is a frequent issue for many robot vacuum/mop hybrids.

The robot is equipped with two large tanks of water, one for clean water and one for dirty. It automatically soaks the pads in clean water before a mopping session. During the mopping run, sensors alert you to when it's time for you to change out the pads and refill the water. It uses 16 ounces of clean water, which is lower than the majority of similar robots.

Once you've cleaned the dirt off the mop pads the T10 will return to its base station and auto-dry them to prevent cross-contamination. It will then resume mopping the area it began. This process eliminates the necessity of washing your hands by hand this is great as it protects you from bacteria and allergens. This feature is unique to Narwal. The majority of robot vacuum/mop hybrids just put their mop heads into buckets of sand that has been contaminated.

The T10's mopping function is powered by a motor which rotates the pad three times per second. This allows for an even more thorough cleaning particularly around corners and around edges. The rotating pad and two side brushes move hair, dirt and other debris into vacuum slots. This eliminates the dust bin and is much more eco-friendly than traditional cleaning.

The app lets you draw an image of your space and allows you to define areas for sweeping and mopping. The robot is able to easily switch from mopping to vacuuming. It's a great choice for people who have both types in their home. It is a great sweeper and is effective in cleaning up pet hair and other particles. The Freo's dual side brushes permit it to reach into corners better than single-brush vacs. Additionally, its cliff-sensing functions and anti-collision capabilities aid in keeping it from getting stuck on stairs or running into furniture.

While it's a good vacuum/mop combo However, the Narwal T10 is pricier than the majority of its competitors. The Narwal T10's large base station has two 1.3 gallon tanks that need to be refilled frequently. This can be a hassle particularly if your top rated robot vacuum has tanks that fill up faster. Its app is also messy and frustrating, and it doesn't offer the same features of customization that you'd expect from more expensive robot.
