It was also very good in maneuvering around my bar stools and didn't get in the way of them as the iRobot j7+ did in this test. The only issue is that the IONXL cannot detect cords, toys and shoes that may be in its path therefore you'll need to pre-clean your house before running this robotic vacuum if you want it to avoid these items.

The ION XL robot cleaner isn't as sophisticated as the iRobot J7+, but it's a great option if you do not want to spend over $500 on a robot. It's better than the RoboVac 11S, in many ways. It's simpler to maintain and has lower monthly costs. It also performs better at vacuuming bare floors and picking up pet hair, but it can't do as well on lowor high pile carpet.

It's not as robust but it's still an excellent choice. The ION XL has a large bin capacity, and it can be controlled via an app and voice command, and it is easy to keep up with maintenance. It is also affordable.
