The Best Robot Vacuum and near Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good option for those looking for an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It offers a great mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. However, unlike other models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to help you map your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and incredible cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is integrated into the base of charging. The robot will learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automatic schedules to provide you with a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automatic cleaning functions at the click of a button. You can select an overall clean that focuses on the removal of larger particles like cereal and rice. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that your entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some others do, and it can even remove pet hair with ease. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot claims it will get better with future models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used however we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that stops tiny dust particles and near allergens from circulating in your home. We think it's a nice claim, but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the layout of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers to ensure that the robot is aware of the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those on more expensive models, and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only drawback is that it does not have an additional rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but that's an affordable price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank of the robo-vac is larger than its competitors and filling it takes just two or three cycles, even when you've got a lot of dirt.

As for the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, generate little noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without interruption. It will gently hit a wall or furniture and then move on when it encounters one.

What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes and dries the clean water tank. The app will only notify you if something is wrong like low water levels or a cancelled vacuuming session due to a full bin.

You can also create or merge actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature if you have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or if there's a lot of clutter that must be removed frequently, Near like toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot vacuum for hardwood floors mop and vacuum with all the features you can wish for. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an automatic cleaning station that washes and empties the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately which allows it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet high and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the robot itself and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in a single charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty when required.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're not at home. It also has a smart routing function that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the top robot at mopping. Its mop pads that rotate remove tough stains and its motor generates lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is excellent, and it increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge, rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop that comes with a host of convenience features that you do not often find on robots in this price. It is able to build detailed floor maps, detect various flooring types and is among the few that can automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are nice however they can place the L10s in the class of luxury. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall, with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find one button that acts as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel includes the circular menu which allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the settings of the app where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to help you map out your home. This produces a precise floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop efficiently, without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4% of debris from our test on the hard floor and taking out all but the most stubborn juice stain. Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as efficient in dealing with sand on the hard floor and the quaker oats that are on carpet.
