The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that's middle-of-the-road. It offers a great mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to handle dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard floors. It does not use LIDAR, however, as other models do, to map your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and a variety of features that include a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the touch of a button. You can choose an overall clean that emphasizes cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice, or opt for two detailed maps of your home to ensure that your entire home gets a proper look.

This robot vac performs well on both floors that are bare and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and also suck large items up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however, iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which focuses on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with superior filtration that blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating in your home. We think this is a nice statement however, it's not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the arrangement of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundaries so that the robot can determine which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as effective as those of more expensive models, and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

It's only downside is the lack of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a major issue for those who want to own one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank also bigger than those on many of its rivals and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to scrub off tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce minimal noise, meaning you can work or watch television without being distracted. If it comes across the wall or a furniture piece it gently bumps into it and then moves on.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically moves physical trash into the bin hidden in the background, as well as washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is adept at notifying you when something is in need of attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session being cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create or merge actual rooms in order to customize the way that Q Revo handles your home. This feature is helpful for those who have different flooring in different areas of your home, or when you have to frequently remove clutter, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, removing debris from both carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can even vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend drying them using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you can want. It has a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans the mop pads, keeping them fresh and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately which allows it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, modern design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best robot vacuum known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds--the entire robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Lastly, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and an assistant voice that works offline, which means you can use it even if you're not at home. It also has a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the most effective robot for mopping. Its mop pads that rotate clean tough stains and its motor generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding too, and it boosts suction when it detects carpet to ensure it does a thorough job. It has a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that has a range of convenience features not often found on robots in this price range. It is able to create detailed floor maps and detect different types of flooring. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are nice however they can push the L10s into the class of luxury. This could make it more expensive than homeowners need.

Created to look like a contemporary floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish that's accented by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper that helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving through the house. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's one button that basically is a switch for on and off. This button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel is the circular menu which allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons open the app's settings where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your house. This creates a precise floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop with ease without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors, and taking out all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops are efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our tile, wood, and Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo carpet tests. It was not as efficient at removing sand from the hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
