Key Programming Car Keys

The majority of dealerships and brick and mortar locksmiths are equipped with tools to assist you in programming replacement keys or restore immobilizer information. These tools are typically bidirectional OBD-II units.

Insert a blank, new key and turn the ignition on to the "on" position without starting the car. Repeat this process a number of times within a particular time period that is usually indicated by door locks cycling or a chime that sounds.
