Key fobs today have more to offer than unlock and start the vehicle. They also control your windows and sunroof. As such, they are expensive to replace if they are damaged or lost.

It's possible to save money by replacing the fob battery on your own. Here's how to do it begin by finding an opening or latch to the fob's key case and then insert the tool.

Battery

Modern key fobs offer incredible functionality and convenience, but they require a little attention to ensure that they are functioning efficiently. As time passes the battery in the fob's battery will wear out and you'll need to replace it. The process of replacing the battery in the key fob is simple. First set the key fob on a flat surface and press the metal button until it pops open.
