Line-up

The album's third, Turn Back, marked the return to the traditional sextet format of previous albums. It was a stronger, more constant effort with an edge that was stronger than Hydra. Its more punk-rock sound reflected the maturation of the group and included drummer Bobby Kimball's improved ability on the drums and a more mature, confident vocal delivery from singer Joseph Williams. Keyboardist David Paich's work was sharper, more intricate, and less derivative than on previous performances.

After touring to promote their album, the group recorded an Amsterdam live concert that was released on Eagle Records as a 2-CD set titled Falling In Between. By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity.
