The fridge comes with 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet, which is typical for a French-door fridge at this price. It also has a decent-sized icemaker that is tucked away in the left door, though it's not the largest I've seen.

You can adjust the shelves in both compartments for an individual storage solution. The GE PYE22PYNFS's interior design is attractive, too. Its LED lighting is a nice touch, and the in-door storage bins have a third shelf that folds down to allow you to store tall items. The drawers come with temperature controls so that you can set them to Beverage, Meat or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, although I found their textured plastic coatings a bit difficult on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator includes all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator within this price range. It has Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, available for iOS and Android devices allows you to control your fridge from anywhere in world, and it has numerous options for customization. It will also send you notifications when the door is unlocked, when the fridge or freezer requires defrosting, and when the filter has to be changed.

It is nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS included Precise fill which is an option that is available in a few other GE fridges that allow you to set the number of cups of water you'd like to disperse at a time. The fridge displays a countdown to display how much water remains but it's not as helpful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

It is designed to look like a seamless piece of your kitchen, Bosch's French-door refrigerator is an eye-catching piece. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment that keeps fruits and vegetables fresher for longer, and two compressors for preserving food items. The Ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient, and it produces an ice pyramid with only a little water. This fridge is ideal for a small household or a kitchenette with a built-in appearance and top-of-the line food preservation.

This fridge was the top-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators test, for various reasons. Its freezer temperatures held firm at just a few degrees Fahrenheit, and never fluctuating by more than a fraction an inch. This is essential in preventing freezing burn. The fridge section of the fridge also performed well, reaching the desired initial set temperature within an hour and maintaining that temperature steady over the course of our testing.

Bosch has a reputation for high-end appliances which is why it's no surprise that this counter-depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance with the option to connect to your home Wi-Fi network and Bosch's Home Connect platform. The app allows you to monitor and control the refrigerator remotely using your tablet or smartphone. The fridge is expensive, however it has excellent features and functionality for the price.

While the fridge is an amazing piece of equipment, it's important to know the limitations. It has a narrow space for shelves, so you may have to think creatively when storing tall items. Also the shelves aren't sprillproof and can be easily stained or damaged by sharp objects. The trays are easily removed from the refrigerator. However, they must be cleaned frequently to stop the growth of mold.

LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S is an excellent counter-depth refrigerator that packs plenty of storage in a compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge has an ordinary French door layout, with two rows of spill-capture shelving and a set of crisper drawers. The top shelf to the right can be folded in order to create more space for tall items. There's also a full-width deli drawer and an internal water dispenser.

One of the nice things about this refrigerator is that the ice maker what is french door fridge in the freezer, making it simple to move ice into the fridge for use when required. The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a ideal choice for those who want to combine the advantages of a french style fridge freezer with water and ice dispenser-door fridge's aesthetics with an efficient layout. Its capacity is above average for a counter-depth model and it cools well and has a nice layout. It's also less expensive than the best counter-depth refrigerator with an ice maker, which can make it an attractive option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

If you're looking for an French door fridge that doesn't break the bank and isn't expensive, this Frigidaire is a solid option. It's a minimalist design that isn't as striking visually as some of the competition however it comes with enough features to make it a solid pick. Its most important feature is the temperature adjustable drawer, which helps keep foods such as meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also has a large water dispenser and a decent Ice machine that is fast.

Another nice feature is the "Chill Drawer" that sits over the two crisper bins. This drawer lets you divert a portion of the fridge's cooling power directly to this area, which means you can keep food items that need extra attention. This feature can be adjusted by using a slider on the outside of the drawer. You can also adjust the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I've found that the generic settings are more effective than the specific ones.

During my experiments, I noticed that the temperatures in the refrigerator were fairly consistent in different parts of the fridge. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the refrigerator didn't vary significantly from 38 degrees. This is a great performance, but it isn't quite at the top of our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be connected with a smart thermostat to obtain more precise readings of the internal temperature of your fridge.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's exterior is made of stainless steel with a grey-bodied body that has a "smudge-proof" finish. It is capable of preventing streaks and fingerprints from appearing even when compared with glossy stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tried.
