Items can be upgraded by any item upgrader NPC in the game. Generally these NPCs are found in capital cities or major questing areas. You can also find upgraders of items in dungeons that feature high-level bosses and talking to NPCs in the garrisons of your faction.

The system of upgrading items in World of Warcraft provides players with the possibility of upgrading the levels of armor, weapons and trinkets. The process is similar to that of gear reforging in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor, but instead of using the currency appropriate to the task, players must visit an item upgrader NPC to complete the process.

Item upgrades can be costly, particularly when it concerns armor and weapons. Depending on the upgrade track, each step up in the level of an item can cost several Valorstones or crests. The total cost could be very prohibitive for players who do not have the funds or are unable to grind them.

Requirements

It is important to know that the rerolled item will not be able to maintain its strength or have any of its wasted resources.

Rerolling upgraded items is only possible if the item that was upgraded was an Epic Rare, Rare or Unique. Additionally, exceptional items can be rerolled, but the original stats are replaced by a flat-rate bonus. Rerolling an item that is Rare or Epic item will produce the normal version, and rolling the Epic version will result in an elite version.

Upgraded items can come with additional modifiers that can improve their performance and boost their stats. These additional modifiers aren't included in the upgrade price. You can buy them at the Trading Post, or through other players. Additionally, they can be earned by completing certain missions in the game.

To upgrade an equipment piece it is necessary to visit the NPC [Armorto upgrade an item, visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. Based on the kind of item, you'll need one or more Power Dices (Dice 6 is available from monsters 21+ and Giants while Dice 12 is available from Bosses). You will also require various quantities of Minerals and Erons.

Time

Upgrades to items can be a great way to boost your ship's stats and gear without the need to level them up. Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armor, and weapons in order to gain an attribute bonus, or to create a unique effect when the equipment is worn. Certain upgrade components can be equipped with additional cosmetic effects. Players can acquire upgrade items by crafting, purchasing from vendors or on the Trading Post, looting, or receiving as a reward. Additionally players can find upgraded items using an Upgrade Extractor or by salvaging them using a top-quality salvage kit. Glyphs that are placed on tools for gathering are able to be swapped.

The player can transform an item into a different upgradeable item by selecting it and pressing the green button with a reroll arrow.
