The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to select if you're looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than other options on this list making it easier to navigate through tight corners and under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.

It's very efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways with only one motion. Its 8,000pa motor is able to clean dirt hair, pet hair, and droppings with ease. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the dual side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as impressive. The rotating mop spins at a high speed and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be employed to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's easy to install and is effective however, this is something that you'll need to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners looking to purchase an extremely efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the house and identify furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean efficiently and effectively. This ensures an efficient and consistent cleaning and is also rapid.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other difficult to reach places. The side brush can be stretched to extend to the floor, close to the walls or other fixtures. The mop pads are also washable and can be dried to remove odors and prevent buildup.

App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction strength and select a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also select the number of passes, which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to prevent damage to carpets and rug.

It is important to remember, however, that the device is subject to recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies and regular maintenance. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad should be replaced every one to three months.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one mop and vacuum. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. The robot has two modules: a dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping module with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming might seem a bit outdated but they're a good thing because you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refueling the water tank.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its best robot vacuum feature was its precise map of your floorplan that it uses to create an outline for cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which help to shield certain areas of your house from being scrubbed with mop.

We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair from pets. It was able capture some of the hair our cats shed, and even made it into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low and there were pleasant jingles to signal that it was beginning and working towards its goal.

The biggest flaws were its simple app and the need to swap between the modules to switch between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't keep multiple maps. This could be an issue if your house has several floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot that is capable of vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. It does however, have distinct features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's main draw is its massive dock which serves as the robot's charging base and housing for two water tanks, a clean sink and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.

The base comes with a few control buttons that allow you to manually begin a cleaning task or recall the robot, or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognising objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally get caught up in obstacles, like an electrical cord dangling across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you remove it manually. Although this is not a common occurrence but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen and especially because the X1 Omni does not have a "stuck" status alert on its application.

Another issue that could be a problem is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You will need to manually swap between the two, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that the mopping pads aren't washed and dried between use and can cause mildew or mold.

On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot vacuum best, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant contrast to the basic black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an excellent choice for an industry dominated by boxy units.
