It's smaller than other options on this list making it easier to navigate into tight corners and underneath furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It will even return to the dock to top up its battery halfway through a clean.

It's very quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in one go. Its 8,000pa motor is able to pick up dirt hair, pet hair, and even droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help to tease out debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as effective. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is useful in difficult corners or along baseboards. Those same front arms can also be used to sweep larger objects, such as broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot cleaner with mop mops and vacuums I've tried. It doesn't create the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is simple to install and works well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum for mopping purposes it is important to be aware of this.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, however it comes with some distinct features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its enormous dock that doubles as a charging base and the housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning as well as a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.

The base also has a number of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start a cleaning job and then recall the robot or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two of the buttons to toggle a child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise at finding objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni could sometimes get so entangled with an obstruction, such as the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you manually free it. This is a rare event, but frustrating nonetheless, since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert in its app.

Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between use. This can lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a big departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an impressive sight in a market dominated by clunky boxy units.
