The majority of robot vacuum-mop combinations can be customized using a specialized application. You can save your home's maps and set up cleaning schedules and select mopping modes. You can also alter the suction power and fine tune the amount of water and the scrubbing action of your mop.
A mapping feature aids your robot navigate around rooms while an obstacle avoidance function prevents it from running into wires, furniture or other pet toys. These are must-have features in my house, stuffed with toys scattered around.
1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the flagship vacuum of the company and mop, comes packed with features. It can mop and sweep simultaneously, and lift its brushes or mop pads to ensure that soft surfaces don't get too wet. It can also stay clear of obstacles by finding pets, plants, and other small objects.
The robot vacuum has a suction power of 6,000 pascals which is higher than any other robot vac we've tested. It's also equipped with PreciSense LiDAR navigation that tracks its position, preventing it from getting stuck on objects.
The S8 Pro Ultra's mopping capabilities are also impressive. It can provide constant pressure to the pad that is over 6 Newtons to give a thorough clean. It also has a mop lifter system which lifts the pad automatically as it is able to switch between tile, laminate, hardwood and carpet or rugs, in order to prevent soaking soft surfaces.
In addition, the S8 Pro Ultra has self-washing and self-drying capabilities. The pad can be rinsing and heat-drying within the dock. The dust bin will automatically empty and return to the dock. This means you can set it and forget it, only having to replace the dust bag or refill the water tank every now and then.
All of this is powered by a lithium-ion battery of 5,200mAh. I ran it on its normal vac and mop settings for approximately 160 minutes before the S8 Pro Ultra started to get power hungry and return to its base to recharge. This isn't far off from the 180 minutes that Roborock claims and is at par other hybrids I've tested.
It's a well-rounded, capable product. The only downside is that it's pricey. But its abundance of features makes it a very appealing option for anyone who wants to go away from their old stick vacuums and mop. We highly recommend this model for those who can afford its cost.
2. Dreametech L10S Ultra
The Dreametech L10S Ultra
best robot vacuum
vacuum and mop is a premium combination. The high price is justified by the powerful features, including a large vacuuming capability, as well as two mop heads that rotate. It also has a smart, app-enabled controller and a powerful obstacle avoidance system.
The L10S Ultra has a retail price of 999 Euros, which is among the most powerful robotic vacuums and mop combos available. In my tests, it performed very well throughout the home. It was able to eliminate 98.4 percent of debris from any type of floor and managed to lift long hair without getting caught in. The mops were also great, achieving great cleaning results with less effort than most mid-range models due to their rotational motion as well as an incredibly strong cleaning solution.
The docking station is the primary selling aspect of the L10S Ultra. It's multifunctional and modern. The dock emptys its dustbin into a dirt bag, refills its water tank for the mopping function and even dry the mop pads for you. It also features an in-real-time system for detecting hazards and allows you to schedule periodic cleaning sessions via its intelligent controls.
The L10S Ultra does not offer superior carpet debris removal performance compared to the other hybrid mop I tried. The mops of the L10S Ultra aren't as effective in removing stubborn staining as the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
Despite the L10S Ultra's high-end features, it still requires regular maintenance and care. To prevent the growth of mildew or unpleasant odors, the base station dustbag, water, and tanks must be cleaned regularly, emptied, and dried. It is also important to keep in mind that the mop pads which are bought separately will need to be replaced periodically too.
I would recommend the L10S Ultra to anyone with the money. If you're on a budget, I recommend a more basic model that lets you to save money while still being able to enjoy hands-free cleaning in your home. It's worth noting that even the L10S Ultra is the
best robot cleaner
robotic vacuum and mop combination you can buy, its high purchase cost and maintenance costs will ultimately make it more of a want than a need.
3. Eufy S1 Pro
Eufy S1 Pro is the robot vacuum and mop that you need to clean up messes and remove dirt from your hard floors. This powerful robovac/mop combo has a powerful suction power of 8,000 Pa. It also has a large battery capacity that can be used for mopping and vacuuming. It's also fitted with a top-notch obstacle-avoidance system. It even has an
automatic hoover
mop that cleans itself as it moves and makes the S1 Pro stand out from other models that have to return to their base station mid-clean to wash off the mop pad.
The S1 Pro has a unique mopping system that is distinct from the spinning discs and microfibre pads of other robots. The roller is nearly the entire width of the robot, and it is supplied with a continuous supply of fresh, ozonated filtered water from the dock. The roller scrubs the floor while taking in dirt. Dry debris is picked up with the side brushes, or swept into the front collision bumper. The S1 Pro then takes the mop water into its base station which is then absorbed by the tank's heating elements and is poured into a larger storage container. The tank that is onboard can hold a substantial amount of water, and can handle up to a half dozen mopping session before running out.
As with most robot vacuums and mop combinations The S1 Pro is ready to take it out of the box. The S1 Pro does need to be filled with clean water. This can be done in the cleaning dock. You can also add cleaning solution to the dock if you prefer to have the option of using your own cleaner. If you do select this option you'll have to purchase the cleaning solution from Eufy, which is more expensive than other robot brands that permit users to use their own choice of cleaners.
The S1 Pro performed well in the coverage and efficiency of navigation tests, as did most robots. It was quick to map a room, and it was able to navigate through furniture. The only issue is that it was stuck a few times on larger pile carpets and rugs during my tests however this can be rectified when the software is upgraded. The S1 Pro is a very robust robot that is available at a reasonable price.
4. Roborock Qrevo
The Qrevo is Roborock's entry-level mop and
best automatic vacuum cleaner
. However, it still has some amazing features. Its multi-function dock drains the robot's dirtbag, and refills its water tanks, as well as washing and sanitizing the mop pads as they go. The mopping system can clean a large area before returning to its dock. The vacuum's powerful suction is perfect for picking up pet hair and debris on carpets.
The app that runs the appliance is quite complex, with a broad choice of options for customizing the cleaning process. You can manually initiate the full map and then take care to clean everything that is that is mapped by the device or you can choose specific rooms, expandable zones, or even a routine you've created. SmartPlan is one of the mopping options. It makes use of the sensors on the mops to map out the area and determine the most efficient way to clean it.
Like all Roborock models we've examined, the Qrevo does well in our tests. Its navigation system works well by quickly mapping rooms and cleaning them in a well-organized manner. Its 'Normal' pathing setting does a great job of covering a room, leaving no gaps or missing areas. The Reactive Tech hazard avoidance system is also quite effective, though it's not as sophisticated as the color camera system on the Qrevo Master or the S8 Pro Ultra. It is able to detect dangers like thick carpets but might not be able to recognize smaller items such as rug tassels and electrical wires.
The most obvious flaw with this model is the absence of a mop-after-vacuum option which could be an issue for those who do a lot of vacuuming before cleaning with their robot. There's a good solution: the app offers an option to "clean up" at the end of each vacuuming session. You can use the vacuum's mopping capabilities to remove the last traces and dust that remained after vacuuming. This is a great feature that helps this robot clean a little better than its cheaper competitors.
