The
Best Robot Hoover
The
best robotic mop and vacuum
robot hoover can vacuum and mop without needing your attention. It leaves your floors spotless. Its low cost and top-of-the-line features (such as dirt detection) are a plus.
Check your robot's brushes regularly for tangled debris as well as hair. Wash them when necessary. Some models will automatically empty their onboard dust bin into a larger one at the base, which reduces the amount of fine dust released into the air.
1. Roomba Q5 pro
The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive sibling the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums we have examined. They feature motors that are top-of-the line and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. And, like other premium iRobot models (including the top pick) they employ smart mapping technology to design precise floor plans and eliminate home-based obstacles like cords and furniture legs. The robots also come with Carpet Boost, a feature that increases its power when it senses dirt on the carpet.
Both the Q5 and Q7 Max Series get very good scores in our floor tests that test for bare floors They're also particularly adept in removing pet hair. However, they have a few flaws that keep them from being our top choice. One of the Q5's shortcomings is its navigation system doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance. It's thus susceptible to getting stuck on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate densely packed rooms very well during our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera that would let it see the corners of a room.
It's still a good deal particularly if your home or office has lots of unfinished floors and you're looking to save money. It's also very quiet and can work while you're at work, or at school. The only thing it's missing that you can't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. And it's less effective at mopping, as it relies on disposable wet wipes that don't hold on very well and can't take on dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle that can be emptied by itself. And, if you have to, you can switch the mopping pad for a dry one in minutes.
2. IRobot Roomba
The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact, sleek vacuum cleaner that can also sweep floors. Its smart cleaning maps and nimble navigation make it easy to clean and effective in tackling larger particles such as pet hair. It also has strong suction and a self-emptying bin. It's the

robotic hoover for carpets, however it falls behind some competitors when it comes to deep cleaning.
This high-performance vacuum and mops utilizes sensors to stay clear of obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the layout of your home over time to provide better cleaning. You can change its cleaning schedule and set up zones with the well-designed app. It has a battery life that is comparable to other models.
When the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted area, you can instruct it to take off and extend its mops. This can help avoid cross contamination. The flex arm can be used to reach beneath low-lying furnishings and along baseboards. However, it doesn't have the same washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Professional+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.
During tests during testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest

vacuum/mop to complete an entire house, finishing with the battery at 66 percent left. It did a decent cleaning job on different floors and rooms with different flooring types, including some area carpets. Its obstacle detection was excellent and it was able to avoid fake dog turds, socks, shoes and bundles cables.
It's more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but offers superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can also clean the floor even after it has vacuumed. This is a feature we haven't seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combinations.
3. iRobot Roomba X40
This robot vacuum and mop combination has a sleek, circular design that looks more like a regular Roomba unit than the boxy models from the competition. It's one of our most appealing looking robot vacuums. iRobot’s latest flagship model is also its smartest. It has advanced features such as Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads autonomously).
It's also the sole robot vacuum or mop that scored the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our testing. This is due to a mix of high-tech sensors, including a structured light system, camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only

we tested that could fill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop mops.
Like other iRobot models like the X40 is easy to use, offering an intuitive mobile app interface as well as integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only issue is that it's still quite a noisy unit which could be a problem if you run it in the morning prior to work or in the evening as you attempt to sleep.
It's also a bit expensive, but it's not as pricey as Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are equally capable and look better. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that's extremely powerful, but it's more expensive and produce more noise.
4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop with many advanced features that will let you forget about your chores. Like Ecovacs' range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that takes charge of both mopping and vacuuming. It comes with a multifunction dock that automatically emptys the vacuum's trash bin, refills its water tank, cleans and dry its mop pads.
The smart robot uses the combination of LIDAR and structured light to draw out floor plans and spot obstacles, making it more efficient than some of its premium rivals. It also comes with a front-mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time, though this wasn't completely foolproof in our tests, and could be confused with obstructions or power cords.
The vacuum has a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to complete the task. It also comes with an attribute called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the house based on how dirty these areas tend to be.
For larger houses, it's worth opting for models with spot or zone cleaning modes that allow you to tell the robot to clean a particular area of your house via the app or voice controls. If you have a lot of furniture, a stairway mode is also a good option. For families that are busy recharge functions and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to resume where it left off could be extremely useful.
iRobot RX3
The RX3 is a cleaner with more intelligence than you would think from its price. It's a pro at cleaning, removing 55% of debris in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses with one pad that has a reciprocating motion, which does a better job cleaning than the other mop cleaners for robots we've tried. It's also extremely self-sufficient, with a fully-featured application, and a self-emptying, washable base.
The iRobot app is designed to guide you through the mapping process that collects data on your floorplan and any "no go" areas that you've marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules or organize the spot-cleaning. You can also use it to rank your most filthy areas for better performance. The app has a range of features, including seasonal suggestions, custom mapping and advanced cleaning settings.
It is also able to reach corners and under furniture more easily because its shape is more rectangular. It is equipped with an impressive 8000 Pascal suction, as well as clever combs for removing pet hair. You can also set up a spot-clean that thoroughly cleans an area.
The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker and less expensive alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras appear like cute eyes. It does a good job vacuuming but is more prone to get caught on low thresholds and is a bit noisier than the other top robotic vacuums we've examined. It also has a less intuitive app and a tiny base station that isn't able to double as a bin for emptying.
