The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive sibling the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic cleaner and mop vacuums that we have tested. They have motors that are top-of-the line and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. And, like other premium iRobot models (including the top pick) they employ smart mapping technology to design detailed floor plans that avoid home-based obstacles like cords and furniture legs. They also feature carpet boost that boosts the robot's performance when it detects the presence of dirt on the carpet, allowing it cleaned up quickly.

The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored excellently in our tests of floors with no carpet, and they are particularly adept in removing dog hair. However, they have several flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. For one, the Q5's navigation doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance, so it's prone to become entangled in shoes and socks and can't navigate tightly packed rooms very efficiently in our tests. Also, it doesn't have cameras that let it see the corners of an area.

It's still a good deal particularly if your home or office has lots of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save money. It's also extremely quiet and works while you are at work or at school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming feature that's offered in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective when it comes to mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't stick well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 has an auto-emptying dock, however. If you need to mop, the mopping pad can be replaced with a wet one in seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive vacuuming and mopping capabilities into an elegant, compact package. Its agile navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it simple to clean and effective at dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also comes with strong suction and an automatic hoover bin for emptying. It's the best robot Hoover (Www.metooo.co.uk) for carpets, though it isn't as efficient as some of its competitors in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mop utilizes sensors to stay clear of obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the layout of your home over time to provide cleaner and more efficient cleaning. The app allows you to customize zones and change the cleaning schedule. Its battery life is average when compared to other models.

You can tell the X30 Ultra to remove its mops and to extend them when in a carpeted room to prevent cross-contamination. Its flex arm can also be used to reach beneath low-lying furnishings and along baseboards. It doesn't offer the same washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Pro+ as well as the iRobot Combo j9+.

During testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop in the market to clean an entire home, and it did so with only 66 percent of its battery left. It did a decent cleaning robot mop and vacuum job on different floors and rooms with different flooring types, including certain area rug. Its obstacle detection was top-notch and it swiftly eluded fake dog socks, turds, and bundles of cables.

It's a bit more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however, it comes with superior suction, a built-in dust bin that automatically emptys into its base, and also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can also clean the floor even after it has vacuumed. This is a feature that we haven't seen before on other robot vacuum/mop combination.

3. IRobot Roomba X40

With an elegant circular design that looks more like a regular Roomba than the competitors' compact models this robot vacuum and mop combo is one of the most attractive looking models in our reviews. The latest model from iRobot happens to be its smartest and has advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).

It's the only robot vacuum/mop that scored 100% in our tests thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured lighting system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation in a self-contained manner. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.

As with other iRobot models as well, the X40 is user-friendly, offering a simple mobile app interface as well as integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. The only issue is that the X40 is still a loud unit. This could be a problem in the mornings before work or in the evening when you're trying to fall asleep.

It's also quite expensive but not as much as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally powerful and more attractive. If you're willing to live some more volume and a little more cost this is a capable two-in-one that should delight most.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with a lot of advanced features that let you forget about your chores. Similar to Ecovacs the range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that can take charge of both vacuuming and mopping, with a multifunction dock that automatically empties the vacuum's dustbin, refills its water tank and cleans and dry its mop pads.

The smart robot vacuum that mops employs a combination of LIDAR and structured light to map out the floor plan and detect obstacles, making it more efficient than its top competitors. It also has a camera mounted on the front for real-time hazard detection, although this wasn't quite foolproof in our testing and was occasionally confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its vacuum has a high suction maximum of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to finish the job. It also has a feature called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts cleaning frequency for various areas of the house based on how dirty the areas are.

If you have a larger home, it's worth choosing a model that has the option of cleaning zones or spots. This lets you tell the robot which area of your house needs to be cleaned by using the app or voice command. If you have a lot of furniture, a stair-mode is also useful. For families with busy schedules, a recharge function and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to pick up where it left off can be extremely useful.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is more intelligent than its price suggests. It has a great vacuuming performance, picking up 55% debris in our tests. (It was only second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with one pad and a reciprocating motion that cleans better that most of the mop cleaners with robots that we've tried. It's also self-sufficient, with a fully-featured app as well as an auto-emptying, washable base.

The well-designed iRobot app guides you through a mapping exercise that collects information about your floorplan as well as any "no-go" areas you mark on the map. It can be used to design cleaning schedules or organize a spot-clean. You can also use it to rank your most filthy areas for better performance. The app also gives access to a host of options, including seasonal suggestions, custom maps, and advanced settings for your cleaning.

Its shape is more rectangular than most other robot vacuums, meaning it can get to corners and under furniture more easily. It also has a strong 8,000 Pascal suction and combs that are intelligent for hair of pets. You can also set up a spot clean that scours a specific area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and cheaper alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive style, much like Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are shaped like cute little eyes. It is great at vacuuming, however it is more likely to get caught in low thresholds. It is also louder than other top robot vacuum with mop vacuums we've test. It also comes with an app that's less intuitive, and a smaller base station that does not double as a bin for emptying.
