How to Replace a Ford Ka Key Fob

Ford Ka owners who wish to replace their key fobs find it easy. A CR2032 battery is used in these fobs. The battery is kept in a special compartment inside the fob. To cut a replacement key, this compartment holds the code. It isn't possible to locate the code online therefore it is best to purchase a spare key from the manufacturer.

You can replace the battery on your key fob by purchasing a new battery. You will need a CR2032 battery. You can buy this battery at any hardware store, autozone locksmith, or online. Place the battery in the proper position.

The procedure for replacing it is easy: To remove the battery that was used, use a screwdriver and a flat screwdriver to open the cover on the rear. Carefully pull out the old battery, taking care not to scratch the green circuit board underneath it.
