The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good option for those looking for an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It has a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the advanced features found in its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to map out your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best-rated robots. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, such as the dirt compartment built into the charging base. This robot can recognize your habits of cleaning, and suggest automated schedules to provide you with the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is setup it can begin cleaning automatically with just one button click. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice or two thorough maps of your home to ensure that your home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum is effective both on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and clean large items up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot claims that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used however we found it only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has a superior filtration system which blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think it's a nice statement but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to remember the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundaries, so it knows to avoid areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as efficient as those found on more expensive models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only drawback is the lack of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. However, that's not a problem when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots on the market. In terms of the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than the high-powered modes, produce very low noise, which means you can work or even watch TV without being distracted. It will gently hit furniture or walls and move on whenever it comes across one.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash to the hidden bin and also washes and dry the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is capable of notifying you when something requires attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to alter the way that Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is beneficial if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or in the event that you have to regularly remove clutter, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, taking debris from both carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it to.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It comes with a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a sensor that can detect obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still large--it is more than two feet in the height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in a single charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris which makes it easier to empty it when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're at home. It also comes with more mopping modes and Best Robot Vacuum and Mop a smart routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of simply following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its mop pads rotating to remove tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well and it enhances suction when it senses carpet to ensure it's doing an excellent job. It is equipped with a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to a week. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a premium model that comes with a variety of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It can make detailed floor maps and detect different types of flooring. It's also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are nice to have however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category, which might make it somewhat more expensive than the average homeowner need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with an impressive bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that serves as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and transmit it to its base station. The center of the control panel includes the circular menu which allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons will open the app's settings which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to help you map out your home. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our test on the hard floor and taking out all but the most difficult juice stain. The mops also work well in removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
