The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that's middle-of-the-road. It's a great mopping capability, but it lacks certain of the more advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as cheaper models do to map your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It comes with a variety of features and incredible cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is built into the charging base. The robot will learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to provide you with a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is set up it can begin automated cleaning with a single button click. You can choose the general clean option, which prioritizes the removal of larger debris such as rice and cereal. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that the entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well both on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It is able to take large objects and does not lose suction as fast as some other models and can pick up pet hair with ease. It does have a hard time with high-pile or Robot vacuum and mop combo plush carpet, but iRobot claims it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it hug the furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the hockey puck-like design of robovacs, but we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating throughout your home. We think this is a nice statement but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles like stairs and other barriers, and to clean up your entire home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on more expensive models. The mopping system is superior - its spinning pads scrub floors more efficiently than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

The only downside is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to allow to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's an affordable cost to pay if want to get one of the best robot vacuum for pet hair robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank is larger than many of its rivals and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even with the maximum dirt level.

In terms of the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or watch TV without being distracted. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and then move away when it encounters one.

What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and automatically transfers garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app is adept at nagging you only when something needs attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.
