It missed a few tiny things in the corner of my dining room and had to go back over them however, it was a success overall. Compared to the Roomba it took the competition in my tests since its side brush was able to reach better along edges and was more efficient in terms of removing smaller debris.

Samsung Jet Bot can be controlled through the SmartThings App and set to clean itself automatically at times convenient to you. It can be programmed to clean specific areas or rooms. You can also set virtual no-go zones and physical ones.

It utilizes LiDAR sensor technology, similar to that utilized by self-driving vehicles to aid in navigation and mapping. The camera is placed in front of the device for intelligent object recognition. This feature helps to avoid collisions with furniture or other objects, and to find the most efficient way to move between rooms. It can also detect objects it thinks are "poop" and make an educated guess.

The Roomba 980 from iRobot

The Roomba 980 is iRobot's top of the top-of-the-line robot, and is also the most expensive. The Roomba iRobot 960 from iRobot

iRobot is a brand that is synonymous with robot vacuums self emptying vacuums. The Roomba 960, priced at $700, is in the middle. It's a little cheaper than the top of the line 980, but it comes with many of the same features. This includes the ability to use a camera for navigation and a mobile app that provides precise cleaning maps. It also has a Virtual Wall, which creates an invisible barrier that the Roomba will not cross.

The 960 was a good performer, particularly on floors that were bare. It sucked up lots of cat litter, food crumbs and tracked dirt. It also has the ability to climb obstacles like stair runners, table legs and chairs legs. It also was able to suck up pet fur but it was unable to handle finer debris, such as baking soda.

One thing that separates the 960 from other Roomba models is the fact that it has a separate dustbin for large debris which reduces maintenance requirements. The bin can be emptied by pressing a button using the iRobot Home app or using voice commands from Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

The iRobot HOME App allows you to customize every cleaning cycle. You can set the number of passes, and choose from different modes like edge clean, or a full room sweep. It also sends an alert when it's time to clean the dirt compartment.

The 960 is simple to operate, using buttons on the top and buttons in the iRobot HOME app, or via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It's also easy to maintain and has an indicator at the top that shows battery's life and a docking station that automatically transfers debris from the dirt compartment to the bin when you're ready to empty it. The iRobot HOME App can also provide you with instructional videos and also show the location of each object it has gathered. The battery time of the 960 may not be ideal but it's sufficient to let you use it all day long without worrying about recharging before the time of bed. The iRobot HOME app is available for both iOS and Android devices.

The iRobot Roomba 960

The Roomba 970 is a robot vacuum cleaner that is compatible with Google Home and Amazon Alexa. It utilizes the same advanced navigation system as other recent iRobot models and can even detect stairs, which is something that can be a hassle with other vacuums. It also has a central camera that scans the floor while it moves and can detect walls, furniture and other obstacles, so that it doesn't just randomly hit objects. It can also establish boundaries for the robot with the virtual wall tool.

One of the major distinctions between this model and earlier Roomba models is that it uses a lithium-ion battery rather than the nickel metal hydride batteries that were used in earlier models. This means that it can last longer between charges, and it has more power during cleaning sessions. It's not as fast as the Shark AI Robot but it can navigate the space with ease.

The robot comes with a small handle that you can use to return it manually to its charger. Spot-cleaning features allow you to concentrate on a specific area in your house. The 960 robots use the same three-stage procedure as the other iRobot machines, combining the power-lifting and agitation to thoroughly clean your floor and remove dirt.

The 960 works well on unfinished floors and picks up a great deal of dust, hair and other debris, thanks to its brushrolls and powerful suction. It is unable to handle carpets with a high pile and can to leave some sand inside its tunnel. It has a decent-sized dirt storage compartment and will notify you when it's full through the app or a light that appears on top of the robot. It can also be programmed to clean at a predetermined time and we had no problem setting this up in our tests.
