The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you're looking for a robot mop and vacuum that's mid-range. It offers a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do to map your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and plenty of features, including an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. The robot also learns your habits of cleaning and Best Buy suggest schedules that are automatic to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the touch of a button. You can opt for a general clean that prioritizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal, or opt for two detailed maps of your home to ensure your entire home gets a proper look.

This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and does not lose suction as fast as other models do, and it can even pick up pet hair without much difficulty. It's a challenge with carpets that are high-pile or plush however, iRobot promises that the next models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used however we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features an advanced filtration system which blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating throughout your home. We think this is a nice claim, but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to keep track of the layout of your home and vSLAM to map the interior. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on higher-end models. The mopping system is better - its spinning pads clean your floors better than a vibrating pad.

The only downside is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but that's a small price to pay if you want one of the best robots available. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors and filling it takes just two or three cycles even when you've got a lot of dirt.

For the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest, which are less aggressive than the higher-powered ones produce minimal noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without interruption. It will gently bump into furniture or walls and then move away when it encounters one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and automatically transfers trash into a hidden bin. It also washes and dries the clean water tank. The app is good at notifying you when something needs attention, for example, the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also design and merge actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is beneficial when you have different flooring in different areas of your home or in the event that you have to regularly get rid of clutter like clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum was also among the top performers in my test, picking up debris on carpets and hardwood floors on the first attempt. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you could wish for. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has a powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, plus a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately, allowing it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best rated robot vacuum known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still large--it is more than two feet in height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it charges faster and can complete a cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet on one charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty it when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're at home. It also comes with more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your house instead of simply following a predetermined route.

The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its rotating mop pads that remove tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as efficient as any we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop that comes with a host of features that you don't often see on robots of this price range. It can create detailed floor maps and identify different types of flooring. It's also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great, but they also place the L10s in the luxury category. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners want.
