The
Best Robot Vacuum and Mop
Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking to buy an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It's got a fantastic mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.
During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. It doesn't employ LIDAR however, as cheaper models do to locate your home.
1. IRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and a variety of features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. The robot will learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automated schedules that will give you an effortless cleaning experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is in place, you can start automatic cleaning with a single button. You can choose the general clean option, which prioritizes the removal of larger particles like cereal and rice. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.
This robot vacuum is effective both on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It can remove pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It does have a hard time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot says it will improve with future models.
The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It's a nice improvement over the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with superior filtration which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price tag.
Its smart navigation system employs sensors that remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and create virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on higher-end models. And its mopping system is even better because its spinning pads scrub floors more efficiently than an ordinary pad that vibrates.
The only downside is that it lacks a second rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable cost to pay for if you want to get one of the
best robotic mop and vacuum
robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than its competitors and filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you've got the most dirt.
For the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to remove the tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create low noise, which means you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it comes into contact with a wall or furniture piece it gently bumps into it and moves forward.
The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and automatically transfers garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is capable of notifying you when something requires attention, for example, the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.
You can also create or combine actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo manages your home. This feature is helpful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home or if you need to regularly get rid of clutter like toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, taking debris from both carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It is able to even clean up spills that are wet, though I recommend drying them with a cloth before sending the robot into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically empties and washes the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them clean and ready for use again. It also has a sensor that recognizes obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.
The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design,
best robot vacuum mop
known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still large--it has a height of more than two feet both height and depth, and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.
This version is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris, making it easier to empty when required.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even when you're not at home. It also has more mopping options and a smart routing feature which allows it to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead simply following a predetermined path.
The Omni Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its rotating mop pads that scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent too, and it boosts suction when it senses carpet to ensure it's doing the job well. It comes with a huge, rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also very effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and
Best Robot Vacuum and Mop
vacuum is a top-quality model that offers a number of convenience features not often found on robots in this price range. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, identify different types of flooring, and it's one of the few to automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are great but they also make the L10s more of a class of luxury. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall and has a white-colored finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper that helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving around the home. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically is a switch for on and off. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open up the settings menu of the app where you can modify how the L10s Ultra works with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to help you map out your home. This produces a precise floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop efficiently and avoid getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.
The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors and removing all but stubborn juice staining. The mops are also efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
