The basic mopping mode uses the same reservoir of water as the vacuuming mode. While this is good for spills that are not too large however, you aren't able to limit the amount of water it consumes and this will reduce its effectiveness for more severe stains. However, it does an admirable job of picking up pet hair, and has a higher speed of pickup than the Roborock S7.

3. Miele RX2

Miele's RX2 robotic vacuum is renowned for its quiet, efficient appliances. It has a beautiful design, excellent navigation, and excellent cleaning power. It has a few oddities in its operation that prevent it from being named the best smart robot vacuum.

Like iRobot's latest models, the RX2 features dual-sensor mapping technology that uses an LIDAR sensor to map out a room and two 3D scanning cameras to identify and avoid obstacles (like furniture legs or pet waste) in real-time. Once mapped the app allows you to create virtual no-go zones as well as favorite sections that the robot vacuum for dog hair will automatically clean. Its composite score for flooring and carpet beats the competition and it picked up 98.5 percent of dirt and embedded dog hair from our laboratory test samples.

Its controls are a bit more basic than the competitors. There's an oblong cleaning button at the top. You can also schedule weekly or daily cleanings, create no-go zones, and look up its cleaning history. Ion is clad in a stylish dark gray plastic that looks and feels attractive in your home. Eufy 11S is a great option for those looking for a robot vacuum that's simple and doesn't have any frills at a cost that is low. The robot is simple to use and set up. While its application is a bit slow and the 980 can spin a bit when rolling over cables, it's still an extremely efficient robot vacuum.

One thing we really like about the 980 is that it uses its iAdapt 2.0 navigation sensors as well as visual simultaneous mapping and localisation technology (or vSLAM) to memorise the floor plan of your home. It then uses that information to create an efficient and consistent cleaning path for each cycle. The result is cleaner floors and a more efficient vacuum Mop combo robot than most competing high-end robot vacuums.

Other features include dual multi-surface rubber brushes which pick up dirt from carpet and hard floors, along with a spinning brush that sweeps debris into the robotic vacuum's bin. The sensors for floor tracking help it navigate between furniture and around edges, and Cliff Detect helps to prevent the Roomba from slipping down stairs. It will also return to the base station for easy recharges between sessions. The battery life and bin capacity of the 980 aren't as good as some other robot vacuums. However, it's a reliable and solid machine that will keep floors clean for many hours.
