The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good choice if you're looking for an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It's got a fantastic mopping capabilities, but is lacking certain of the more advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In the course of testing, it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard floors. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to map out your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, including the dirt compartment built into the charging base. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automated schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is setup it can begin automatic cleaning with a single button press. You can select an overall clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger pieces of debris like rice and cereal. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that your home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum and mop self empty vacuum performs well on both bare floors and low-pile carpet. It sucks up large items and does not lose suction as fast as other models do, and it can even remove pet hair without much difficulty. It's a challenge with high-pile carpets or plush carpets, but iRobot says that future models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ has an improved filtering system that blocks tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price price.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to remember the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vac settings are just as effective as those of more expensive models, and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only downside is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to allow to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable price to pay if you want one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than its competitors. Filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you've got the most dirt.

In terms of the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping Robot Vacuum Cleaner modes that it has that are less aggressive than the higher-powered ones generate little noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without distraction. It will gently bump into furniture or walls and move on if it comes across one.

What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app is capable of alerting you when something is in need of attention, for example, the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is useful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home or in the event that you have to regularly get rid of clutter like toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my test, picking up debris on carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first pass. It can even remove wet spills but I would suggest wiping them dry with a cloth before sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It comes with an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it charges faster and can complete a cleaning of around 1,500 square feet on one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris, making it easier to empty it when needed.

Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and voice assistant that operates offline, allowing you to control it even when you're not at home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.

The Omni Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested, mopping robot vacuum cleaner because of its mop pads that rotate to scrub away tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge, rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop that comes with a range of convenience features that you aren't likely to find on robots at this price. It is able to build detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types and is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These are nice features, but they also place the L10s in the class of luxury. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners would need.

Designed to look like a modern floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish accented by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine has a large bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's a single button that essentially serves as the on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. If you click it again, it will shut it off and send it back to its base station. The control panel has the circular menu which allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the settings of the app where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. This allows the robot to vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles and obstacles, which is a wonderful feature for households with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris from our test on the hard floor and removing all but the most difficult juice stains. The mops also work well and remove 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the floor or quaker oats on the carpet.
