So far, we've been picking locks "a pin at a time," with a single pin stack set at the shear line in the sequence dictated by whatever misalignments are present in the cylinder. Because there are two independent shear lines, there is no way to control, or even tell, at which shear line a given pin stack sets. The head string is an imaginary line between the second pair of diamonds (see above diagram). The triangle should point towards the opposite side, or head, of the table (see diagram below). After the balls have been racked, the ball in the front of the triangle should be placed on top of the foot spot. To rack a game of 8 ball, all 15 object balls are placed as tightly as possible into a triangular rack on the table. In mathematics, what is billiards the momentum of an object is equal to its mass times its velocity (speed with direction).
If momentum is conserved in all types of collisions, then how can you tell the difference between the two types? In inelastic collisions, colliding objects don’t bounce off of each other. A collision is a concept that describes what happens when two objects strike each other. In pool, players use the cue stick to strike a white ball called the cue ball to hit other similar balls into semicircular holes called pockets along the inner edge of the table. Every time a player pockets an object ball that is part of their target group, they can continue shooting. Nine-Ball is a rotational game played with nine object balls numbered one through nine. When playing by official rules, you are not allowed to hit your opponent's object balls first when taking a shot. Eight-Ball is a call shot game played with 15 object balls. Ten-Ball is a rotation game and a call shot game played with 10 object balls numbered one through 10. On each shot, the shooter must call his shot and make contact with the lowest numbered ball on the table.
The object of the game is to pocket your opponents’ balls before the opponent’s pocket your group of balls. The placement of the other balls doesn't matter but it should be random. No matter where it starts, the ball will immediately move in a very predictable way towards its attractor - the ocean surface. This is a legal move. Our pool tables for home use are made to move and are therefore smaller and lightweight. These tables are therefore ideal if you have less space. Have you ever thought that you were going to sink a billiard ball, only to have it fly off in the other direction? When shooting the eight ball, whoever is shooting must declare what pocket it will go into, either by pointing or saying which pocket. This will make it easier to pocket the balls. Billiards is a game that involves a cue stick and several balls on a felt-covered table. In this situation, if the cue ball hits a striped ball first and you pocket a solid, then the ball remains pocketed. In 14.1 the shooter can attempt to pocket any ball on the table.
The triangular rack is then carefully removed and play can begin. See the diagram below for how to rack billiard balls. Pool uses a rack that arranges the balls in a triangular shape when the game starts. The process involves using the cue ball to pocket the red and coloured balls. A ball is ‘potted’ when the cue ball knocks it into a pocket. You need to see the cue ball and the target ball to aim your shot when playing billiards. A scratch is when a player pockets the white cue ball at any point during their turn. One Pocket is a unique game in which only two of the six pockets are employed for legal scoring. Cutthroat is a three-player pocket billiard game. If you pocket the wrong ball, it’s called a foul, which gives your opponent a turn. What had gone wrong? A player wins Eight-Ball after sinking all of their object balls and then the eight-ball. If the ball touches anything that isn't part of the table or an object ball, then it is a foul.
