Volvo Key Fob Troubleshooting

Volvo drivers enjoy their key fob's useful remote features. They can lock and unlock their car as well as start the motor and even locate it with a smartphone application.

First, place the fob on an even surface, with the logo facing upwards. Locate the button that releases it, wedge a coin between the fob and the cover and then pull it up with care.

Locking the Doors

Press and hold the unlocking button on your Volvo remote control for four seconds. This will lower the windows and the sunroof if you have one. When you're done with your vehicle, you can shut all windows by pressing the lock button again for four seconds.

You can also set off the panic alarm inside your car with the key fob. This will sound an alarm that is loud and attention-grabbing which can deter thieves and allow you to return home in peace after a night out. This feature is helpful for those who reside in a hazardous area or want to keep your family safe while away from home.

The opening of the Tailgate

Volvo has loaded its key fob with many useful features. These are great when you're swamped with shopping or helping your kids pack their sports gear after practice.

Turning off the Alarm

Set out your keys along with batteries and any other keys on a clean surface. Locate the small black button at the bottom left corner of the key fob and move it to the right. The cover will fall off and reveal the key blade's mechanical structure beneath.

The key fob's unlock button two times quickly, and you'll be able opening all the doors as well as the tailgate. The lock button also shuts the windows and the sunroof (if equipped) by pressing it for 2 seconds. Reconnect the battery, and the alarm should cease.
